celduc relais offers a range of electronic sensors suitable for applications where switching frequency is high ( > 200Hz). One of these applications is speed detection which can be done in 2 different ways :
- a magnetic sensor, fitted with 1 or 2 Hall effect cells, which will switch ON at each passage of the South pole of an unipolar or multipolar magnet fixed on a shaft. With a magnet having a high number of poles it is possible to have a high precision on the rotation speed.
- a gear tooth sensor with stainless steel housing : at each passage of the gear tooth the sensor will give a pulse
For both solutions by associating 2 sensitive magnetic elements inside the same sensor, it is possible to know the rotational direction of the shaft.
