SOBR range: Two-phase Solid State Relays with push-in spring terminals

Screw terminals have long been the standard connection method for Solid State Relays. However, push-in terminals are rapidly gaining popularity in industrial applications.

This growing adoption is driven by recent advances in connection technology, which allow conductors to be inserted quickly and securely without the need for tools. As a result, push-in terminals help simplify wiring, reduce installation time and improve consistency during assembly, making them particularly attractive for modern industrial equipment.

How do push-in terminals work?

Push-in technology relies on a spring-clamp connection system. The conductor is inserted directly into the terminal, where an integrated spring automatically clamps it, ensuring a reliable electrical contact while securely holding the wire in place.

Rigid conductors, as well as flexible conductors fitted with ferrules, can be inserted directly without using any tools. The spring automatically applies the correct contact force, providing a vibration-resistant and maintenance-free connection. When the conductor needs to be removed, the spring can simply be released using the dedicated actuator.

What are the typical applications ?

Resistive Loads (AC-51) is the most common application. « Dual » SSRs are used for controlling the temperature inside an oven or injection molding machine. Each output can control an individual heating element.
